Acacia Bay Holiday Gem | House in Acacia Bay

Situated overlooking beautiful Acacia Bay with a stunning view across Lake Taupo towards the town and majestic Mt Tauhara, this comfortable , well loved family holiday home is only a 10 minutes/7km drive from Taupo town. The Taupo region has so much to offer including trout fishing, mountain bike riding, horse trekking, snow skiing, countless beautiful walks (many around Acacia Bay) plus there are great cafe’s, bars and shops.

The house is a short walk down to both Acacia Bay beaches and the boat ramp is 2 minutes away. The ever popular L’Arte Cafe and Acacia Bay Brasserie (our favourites) are also very close, as is a dairy. The house retains the sun until late in the day and is very homely and comfortable. A large deck overlooking the lake and garden provides the perfect setting for a morning coffee in the sun or a wine in the evening as you watch the boats coming in or the parasailers across the lake.

A very efficient heat pump will keep you warm and snug on those cold winter nights, as you watch the town lights twinkling through the huge bay window. Bored, chose a DVD from the good collection or play an Xbox game. Lots of board games and cards of course! There is good cell phone coverage and free unlimited Wi-Fi. Electric blankets are on all beds. The kitchen is well appointed.

The bathroom has a bath, a shower and a basin and there is a separate toilet with a basin.

In addition to the house as listed, there is also a small detached 'sleep-out' with 1 queen bed and an en-suite bathroom. Please contact us in advance if you would be interested in using this. Additional charges will apply.

We live out of town so won't be available in person, but are always on the end of the phone for any queries or help. Our wonderful house keeper however lives nearby and will be happy to help out where she can.
