Getting Around:

A car makes the most of Rotorua - it is about 2 minutes to Te Puia, 10 to the Redwoods, Polynesian Spa and lakefront, 12 to Skyline Gondola & Luge, and 15 minutes to Rotorua Airport. Central Rotorua is a 5-minute drive, and there is a bus stop just down the street.
