Summary: We were initially put in a room one floor below the restaurant but it only took us a few minutes to discover the noise of moving furniture. We requested a room change. The manager is incredibly professional & friendly. Despite being full they managed to upgrade us to a room in the main wing. We had a room facing the gardens but there was incredible traffic noise on our first night. We found out later that this was due to temporary road closures in surrounding streets. It improved as the week continued but it may be better in a room facing the back parking lot. We have stayed in one of these rooms before & they are fine. The location is excellent & most importantly, there is no cost parking. We didn't eat there. The rooms are spotless & newly refurbished. There is very little noise detectable from other rooms. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel. All the staff are very friendly. There is a great fish & chip shop just a 5 minute walk down the road as well as a cafe/restaurant a block away. Price is competitive & we are looking forward to our 4th stay there later in the year.
