Casa Karioi Hideaway is a peaceful retreat in Raglan made up of our spacious two-bedroom main house and a separate self-contained guest house, accommodating up to eight guests in total. Both dwellings sit on the same property and offer plenty of space and privacy for families, couples, or groups travelling together.
The main house is bright and comfortable, featuring two queen bedrooms, a beautiful bathroom, and a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area designed for relaxing and cooking at home. You’ll enjoy excellent indoor–outdoor flow with a sunny front deck and a larger back deck that is perfect for evening drinks or unwinding after a day exploring Raglan. A small studio space is also available for guests who need to work or study during their stay.
The self-contained guest house sits close to the main house but has its own private entrance. It includes a ground-floor bedroom with a queen-size bed and a bathroom, as well as a small kitchen equipped with two induction plates, a microwave, and all essential kitchenware. The living and dining area is cosy and functional for meals or relaxing. Upstairs, a mezzanine reached by a wooden ladder and separated by a privacy screen features a low Japanese-style queen bed under a half-height ceiling of 160 cm, offering a comfortable space for sleeping or lounging. This layout makes the guest house ideal for small families or close friends travelling light.
Guests have full private access to both dwellings and all outdoor areas. Casa Karioi Hideaway offers a peaceful base close to Raglan’s beaches, cafés, and the beautiful Karioi mountain trails, giving you plenty of space to unwind while still being conveniently located for everything the area has to offer.
