2 Bedroom Cottage in Christchurch City Centre, Christchurch City

Entwhistle Cottage has been rebuilt with the same compact proportions of the original working man's cottage but reworked to make the most of the space and light. The kitchen, dining, living are all open plan looking out to the sunny courtyard. The small bathroom is lovely with black and white tiles and some vintage touches. The whole cottage is tastefully furnished with character and kiwiana touches.
We are happy to cater for families with two singles in the second bedroom(that can be made into a king). The sofa can also be made into bed for a third child/extra guest.We also have a toy box, a fenced courtyard and a small park right opposite. Entwhistle Cottage would also be the perfect, romantic spot for a honeymoon stay.
We have free WI-FI and are also able to offer free-range eggs from our own hens when available. There is also tea, coffee and sugar. Parking is free on the street outside the cottage.
Special conditions:
The price is for two people. $20 for each extra adult, $15 per child.
2 night minimum. Happy to take a one night booking if I have a one night gap between bookings. There are a few of these available over our summer season already so please inquire!

Summary: This light, airy bungalow was completely rebuilt after the 2011 earthquake, and is thoughtfully done. Kitchen is well furnished including many condiments and some staples (oil, flour), and fresh eggs and milk were provided! Communication with owner was excellent. Easy level walk to CBD, and #7 bus stop a block away. There are a couple of oddities: there is no counter near the bathroom sink (although there is a small cabinet above, and a small low stool for hand soap which is a bit awkward), and the door to the second bedroom can only be opened about 1/3 because it is blocked by one of the beds. Despite these quirks we would happily stay again.
