Designed and built so guests could experience this beautiful and peaceful part of the island, CrossTrees Chalet is named with a love of the ocean in mind. 'Crosstrees' are the beams at the top of the mast of large sailing ships - the place with the best view. As part of that 'top of the world' feeling, Crosstrees guests look over the native regenerating forest (protected by a conservation covenant), and out to the glistening blue waters surrounding the island.
CrossTrees is situated at the end of Te Whau Point, a beautiful peninsula in the more populated western end of Waiheke Island. Te Whau Peninsula is known for amazing views to the northern part of the island, south over Tamaki Strait, and back towards Auckland City.

Summary: Nice spot to spend a few days away and to yourselves on Waiheke. Fantastic location and lots of potential for a perfect stay, but the unit unfortunately is in need of some well overdue TLC (broken window frames in bathroom, dead bugs and webs around ceilings, top of microwave hasn’t been cleaned in years, etc). With a little extra love by the property manager, this place should be a 5-star stay. We enjoyed our stay regardless. Come check it out!
