Positive: Mike and Lynley are extraordinary hosts: warm, kind and extremely knowledgeable. They went out of their way for us. Hopewell is situated about 30 minutes by boat (water taxi) from Havelock, in a stunning remote corner of the Pelorus Sound. It is peaceful and utterly beautiful. There are heaps of activities on offer, as well as walks and the use of a wonderful kitchen / common room with a roaring fire. Our cabin - with its own private veranda - looked out over the Sound: quite a sight, especially first thing in the morning. Our afternoon sail with Phil from Sounds by Sail was another experience we will never forget. A truly magical stay at Hopewell. We will return!
Negative: Everything was perfect!
Summary: A magical stay in an extraordinarily beautiful remote corner of the Malborough Sounds.
