With around 1,000 locals, it’s a peaceful spot for most of the year—but in summer, the population swells to over 15,000 as holidaymakers flock to enjoy everything this seaside gem has to offer.
Whether you’re into fishing, hiking, surfing, or simply relaxing on the golden sands, Pauanui is the perfect base. Despite its small size, the town has everything you need for a holiday—cafes, restaurants, bars, and even a supermarket.
