Built in 1851 by Thomas Kent, who arrived onboard one of the first four ships to Canterbury, the ''Cressy'', Islay Cottage is listed as a grade two heritage home. Islay Cottage was highly commended in the 2021 Heritage Awards.

Spend your days exploring the surrounding areas, such as nearby Christchurch or the coastal towns, bays and beach areas as well as the hills.

This 3-bedroom holiday home is a beautiful cottage perched on a hill overlooking the harbour of Lyttelton and the beautiful surrounding hills. The living room indoors has a comfortable living space as well as a smart TV. Cooking will be a pleasure whilst being able to enjoy the views through the windows. At the end of the day, unwind in your bedrooms that feature Queen and Single-sized beds.

Summary: Islay Cottage is amazing - a beautiful heritage cottage that has been carefully renovated with all mod cons. The house is really well equipped with everything you need. Awesome view of the Harbour and port, and a short walk from the shops in Lyttelton. The best place we have ever stayed - definitely 5 stars. Thank you.
