Positive: Very friendly and helpful hosts. Very quiet area, free off-street parking available if you have a vehicle, only five minutes from the library if you're walking. Many very good restaurants within a 10-minute walk. Excellent public bus service, covering many of the great beaches and a number of the vineyards. Waiheke is truly a gem!

Negative: The Fullers bus services provide access to several vineyards not covered by the public bus services, but they are quite expensive.

Summary: Excellent getaway!
