Summary: I recently stayed at JW Marriott Auckland and was disappointed by the overall experience, which did not meet the standards typically associated with the JW Marriott brand. Service levels were inconsistent and appeared understaffed. During check-out, I called for assistance with luggage, but no one arrived despite the urgency of our departure. After a prolonged wait, two staff members eventually showed up one after another suggesting a lack of coordination. The arrival and departure experience was also subpar. There was no staff present at the valet, and front desk personnel had to step in to retrieve the car key, which is not in line with expected service standards. Additionally, amenities were misrepresented. Yoga was listed as an available offering, but upon enquiry at the hotel, it was not available. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations for a JW Marriott property, particularly in terms of service consistency, staffing, and accuracy of advertised facilities.
