Summary: We used the bach as a base to do the Tongariro Crossing, and enjoy a relaxing morning to celebrate a 50th birthday. Views of and 1min walk access to the lake were blissful. We loved the old-style bach with everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen, and lovely outdoor table and chairs to enjoy the sunshine and view. Would definitely come back here. Be aware that sound travels through then internal walls so if you have early risers mixed with late risers, put the late risers in the rooms that don't share a wall with kitchen!
