Positive: This motel is right in the central business area of Tekapo village so within easy walking distance of a number of restaurants, the old church and the Dark Sky excursion meeting point as well as the lakefront walkway. I was given a free upgrade to a a larger unit and stayed in unit #1, the front 2-bedroom unit upstairs, which had a small balcony facing towards the lake - stunning view. The kitchen had all the facilities I needed and a good supply of cutlery and crockery. The shower was hot and there was good heating.

Negative: The shower had a triangle base and was smaller than I'm used to. The decor is pretty tired (but in ok condition). It would have been nice to have a sofa in the lounge and a side table for the chair (I shifted one in from the bedroom). The laundromat is next door and requires payment.
