Positive: This was my second visit to the property within a month as part of a three month trip. The setting is remite, but you can drive to Hanmer Springs or Kaikoura within about an hour. The drive along State Highway 70 to Kaikoura is stunning. The property facilities are brilliant especially the outside shower with hot and cold water before jumping in the Hot Tub for a bit of stargazing. I found that the little things like a proper coffee machine and supplied beans, marshmallows for toasting in the fire, salt, pepper, cooking oil, washing machine powder etc gave that finishing touch. . The beds are excellent and unusually the pillows are also really good. 3
Negative: Nothing really to dislike. The charm of the property is its isolation but you need to go with provisions for your stay.
Summary: Returning again to Lyford Luxury didn't disappoint and I look forward to the next time.
