Enjoy the quiet location of this Otautu Bay holiday home. Approx 30 minutes (38 Km) from the outskirts of Rotorua and 45 mins from Whakatane. Relax and enjoy the tranquillity at the house or launch the boat on to the lake and enjoy the trout fishing or water sports. The house has everything you could need for that getaway break. Timber features throughout the house. Large covered deck area with a huge table to make the most of the outdoor dining. We have two kayaks and a paddle board available for use, with a selection of life jackets also available. There is a pontoon on the lake for swimming. The back section is fully fenced so suitable for younger children & dogs. Wake up to the morning birdsong. The quietness of this location is amazing. Firewood provided for those winter nights.
Special conditions:
*Please note there is no internet/wifi/cellphone coverage at the bach and only limited coverage on the lake side* There is, however, a landline available for local calls. The bach does not have a full size oven or hob. We have a benchtop oven (which is big enough to roast a chicken), a microwave and a two hob hotplate which sits on the bench. The BBQ has a hood and can also be used for roasting.
We are unable to accept bookings less than 5 days before date of stay.

The house is South Facing and does not get much sun in the winter. It can have a tendancy to feel damp in the winter until the fireplace gets roaring.
NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets)
