Positive: Wow, the king suite exceeded all our expectations! It's an old hotel but the king suite is so beautifully renovated, modern and huge, with two separate areas splitting up the bedroom and loungeroom. The entire room was incredibly clean too which always wins extra brownie points from us! It came with a complimentary mini bar, fully stocked with a range of non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. It also had super soft dressing gowns, iron/ironing board, GHD hair straightener, 2x TV's, tea, coffee, milk, toothbrushes, vanity kits. Bed was comfy and it also had a loungechair, desk, sitting chairs and a bath tub! It felt super luxurious! Staff were super friendly and helpful and the onsite restaurant was good for our morning coffees.
Negative: - pillows were too flat. They'd start off ok but by morning it was like I was sleeping on nothing. Tried sleeping with 2 pillows but that hurt my neck. - onsite parking was $25 a night, which was $10 more than what I was quoted when I booked late last year. - parking spaces are also limited and most are very narrow. - location of the hotel is a bit poor if you plan on walking to/from the main Queenstown CBD often, as you have to walk up some quite steep hills.
