After a busy day exploring all that Golden Bay has to offer, forget the hustle & bustle and relax and take it easy in this warm & peaceful, well equipped holiday home.
The beach, shop, cafes and restaurants are a mere 2-3 minutes walk away. Takaka township is a 10 minute drive to banks, supermarket, restaurants and shops.
All towels and linen are supplied (including beach towels) and the beds will be already made up for you.
A fabulous place to come and relax in any season, perfect for a winter get-away as the weather is more like autumn, with mostly fine sunny days, and many choices for beautiful walks. Cosy & private ~ fully fenced for safety of the little ones, and with so many activities available within a short drive.
The beach is especially suited to families, as it is shallow until a long way out, perfect for children to play & swim safely.
Plenty of parking on the property, even room for the boat!
The fishing out from Pohara beach is excellent, with many varieties caught, including blue cod, snapper & gurnard, to name a few.
Check-in is AFTER 4pm, and we offer a more leisurely check-out of BY 10am. Please respect these times so we can have the property ready for you or the next guests.

While Pohara is extremely popular in the summer months, it is also the perfect location to visit in the autumn or winter, when the temperature is a little more comfortable and the area is not so busy.
Winter guests will enjoy the the new large capacity heatpump, to top up the warmth supplied by the sun during the day.
All in all, the perfect place to explore or chill, whatever the season. There really is no destination quite like Pohara!
