Moturua Island - Bay of Islands | House in Paihia

This idyllic island is part of the Bay of Islands maritime park and is a short 7NM boat ride from either Russell or Paihia. The well appointed Lockwood home nestles amongst established trees right in the centre of this glorious sandy bay. With a short 20 metre walk down to the beach, this is a perfect retreat to get away from the daily grind. Explore the island on one of the many walks, check out the list of endangered bird species recently relocated on the island, listen to the Kiwi call at night, or just enjoy the peace and sunshine at this unique location. Access is by one of the commercial water taxis or else your own private boat. There is a wharf to unload your gear plus a dinghy available and a mooring to tie up on.
Please bring your own linen. We supply two rolls of toilet paper so if you think you might need more, please bring extra.

There are no rubbish bins on pest-free islands. Please remember to take all your rubbish off the island with you.
