Positive: Wow this place is a testament to the quality of houses built in the past. So much beautiful wood! My hosts were very gracious, friendly and accommodating. I was kindly upgraded to a downstairs room, closer to facilities. Nice selection of hot drinks. I had a friend pop in for a pre-dinner wine outside on lovely verandah overlooking the garden. Then we walked to a nearby restaurant, great location! In the morning I climbed Mt Eden , very nice! Overall an excellent stay.
Negative: Would be nice to have towel and face-cloth in own room upon arrival.
