Nevis Suite Kaihanu Lodge | Luxury Cottage nr Clyde NEW 2025 | House in Letts Gully

1 Bedroom House in Clyde, Letts Gully
BRAND NEW for 2025. Enjoy an oasis in your South Island itinerary and make yourselves at home at our home. The 2-storey Nevis Suit at Kaihanu Lodge is completely private and self-contained yet adjacent to our home 5 minutes from Central Otago wineries, Rail Trail, Matangi Station MTB, historic Clyde and Alexandra.
Your comfort is our primary goal: from the best mattress to stunning views and luxury finishes. Sumptuous linens on your super king bed, rainfall shower, and a secluded courtyard with stunning sunsets and views of Old Man Range.
Designed for couples, Kaihanu Lodge is a place for you to slow down in between hikes, rides, tastings and experiences in Central Otago. Your suite comprises a vast bedroom, beautiful bathroom and sumptuous lounge with dining table and kitchenette. The suite is accessed via its own private entrance opposite our entranceway.
Drive right up to the door to drop off bags, then park further back on the driveway so as not to encumber your view! Enter into your living room with sofa, smart TV, dining table, hidden sink, microwave and kitchen. Look out of or open the bi-fold doors to views of Old Man Range and paddocks.
Relax into the comfiest chaise sofa for a peaceful read, movie night or pre-dinner tipple. Upstairs, your bedroom has a super king bed, storage and gorgeous en suite. Sumptuous white linens, an abundance of pillows, a quilt for winter nights and the best mattress make for deep slumbers.
Enjoy the rainfall shower in your bathroom, benefit from the light-surround mirror and plentiful drawer space to store your things. Luxury basics awaits so you don't have to carry your entire toiletry collection with you (at least not on this step of your travels) or if you just fancy trying something new.
There's a European influence to the decor because that's where I'm from and have enjoyed some of the finest homes and hotels. Bringing a slice of that to rural New Zealand is a treat that we hope you'll enjoy too.
Your experience and the finer details of your stay are taken care of too: a selection of tea and coffee plus fresh milk and homemade cookies or cake to get you started, a supply of gourmet homemade toasted muesli is also provided. Picnic food, platters, drinks and dinner packages are available to add-on once you know your plans.
Entertainment of the digital kind is provided through the Smart TV or the Harmon Kardon Smart Speaker for Bluetooth casting your choice of tunes or simply listening to the radio. Starlink WiFi is included.
If activity on your doorstep is needed, brave a dip in the pond or make use of the tennis court in our garden. Our home maximises the Central Otago sun and is mostly powered via solar, with grid back-up when needed. So your stay likely impacts the environment minimally.
When you're ready to explore the Central Lakes District that we're at the heart of you can fill your days or scatter activities amidst downtime. Be as sedate or adventurous as you like: wine tastings and vineyard tours, jetboating and canyon swings, cycle tracks and mountain bike trails, gold mining history tours by boat, hunting and fishing, golf and off-road safaris are all within a 45-minute radius (some, just 5 mins!).
Historic Clyde with its wonderful cafés, boutiques, heritage gold mining trail and river track walks is a 5-minute drive, as is Lake Dunstan. A stomp up to the Alexandra clock is a similar distance in the other direction. If you'd like to explore Lake Dunstan by bike or by water (or both!) boat/bike charters can be arranged for you. Just ask! Talk to us about the itinerary you're trying to build and we'll offer suggestions or arrange it all for you.
Upon booking, we'll send you our digital guidebook to assist with inspiration and planning too.
You're an hour from Queenstown Airport. Within 25 minutes' drive you've got Cromwell, Bannockburn, Ranfurly, Naseby, Tarras and so many more beautiful places to explore. Shuttles can be arranged upon request.
