Summary: Paid nearly £200 for one night in a small basic room. I understand that we booked late and the town was busy. However, we were only staying for one night and the only facility we were really interested in was the restaurant. On arrival at around 4pm we were informed that the restaurant was fully booked and if we wanted to eat we would need to go into town. When we visited the bar at around 7pm we noticed that the restaurant was relatively empty. On enquiry we were informed that the hotel only had one chef and they were busy because two coach trips were staying at the hotel and therefore could not accommodate other guests. In my opinion important decision making facilities such as restaurants should if advertised always be available. When I complained the following morning the staff were clearly uninterested.
