Positive: Loved the views, easy to spend time on the balcony watching all the activities on the water. Great amenities. A comfortable place to relax in after a day's touring. We would highly recommend staying here. Close to the beach, restaurants and the centre of Nelson. However, we did need to use the car to get around. Only 1 in our group of 3 was mobile enough to negotiate the steep hill to get to the waterfront. A tradeoff for the spectacular views. While we had ample room for 3 of us, it would be very cramped in the living area for more than 6 people (4 bedrooms).
Negative: Access to the house is up a very steep lane way. While there was a garage and ample parking, navigating getting in and out would be difficult in anything other than a small to mid-sized car. Our rental was a Honda Jazz. Not suitable for people with serious mobility issues.
