We love heritage properties and always endeavour to stay in them where possible. Do you also enjoy old buildings and history if so then we would love to host you.
Our family has owned Paisley Cottage for 30yrs. It was built in 1885 as a workers cottage it was one of four, each on a 1/4 acre. Two cottages remain today.🙋( ***Please note if you are into streamlined new accommodation this property is 🚫 for you we recommend the numerous new properties in our gorgeous town our cottage is not a purposed minimalist rental it is a home 🏡 .)
Saying that we love the history as do our discerning guests who come and stay.
Originally when we moved in the cottage was on the edge of town. No houses across the road. At the back of the property was a stable.
Times change and towns grow but step into the cottage and you will be reminded of an era long past, when the pace of life was slower.
The cottage is unique in that we have endeavored to retain as many of the original features as possible. We have kept the original wooden walls doors and ceilings.
We want you to feel at home relax in the lounge, soak in the huge old tub or relax with one of our books or have a wine on the verandah. Sit in the small sunny courtyard at the back enjoying your morning tea. And have a wonderful long sleep at the end of the day. There are plenty of extra blankets/duvees etc.
We still have views to the mountains, not quite as good as unrestricted as in the past. We often walk to the pubs cafes restaurants etc depending on your pace of walking roughly 10-15 mins straight up Forest Drive is quickest.
Update he's been adopted..We do have a rescue cat 'Snowy' who has her own digs and is fed by our neighbours. If you are cat lover feel free to give some attention. NB Snowy has been adopted by the neighbors however as this was probably the first place he felt comfortable he'd had a tough life when we found him 🐈

We love hosting guests to our home. Although it is an old heritage cottage we love the space and welcome people who love the ambience of an old fashioned lifestyle which is becoming rare in this day an age.
Smoking is allowed outside but never in the cottage we appreciate your understanding.

If you have mobility issues please ask us to clarify the old tub is quite high and has the shower over and may be difficult..
