Nestled in mature kanuka bush frequented by inquisitive tui and wood pigeons, this two-bedroom hideaway features a beautifully appointed kitchen with all mod-cons. The private deck, positioned to get all-day sun, looks out to the valley and down to the white sandy beach. Sit out on the large bean bags during the day, and have dinner under the stars, cooked on your BBQ.

Because the spacious apartment, equipped to boutique hotel standard and with 2.7m-high ceilings, is tucked in under the brow of the valley, it avoids the prevailing wind. That and the highest rating insulation and double-glazed panoramic windows mean it's sunny and warm even in the coldest months.

After a day at the beach, watch Netflix or an ample supply of DVDs on the 55-inch TV from the large angled couch. Or laze on the deck in the large bean bags followed by a BBQ dinner while taking in the sea views. Then sleep on luxurious queen-size mattresses.

Off street car parking for 1 x car. A car is not required depending on your Waiheke plans. The local bus is in sync with passenger ferries and its bus stop is 4 minutes walk from the apartment. The local buses stop by (or within walking distance) of 9 vineyards, including Te Motu, Tantalius, Cable Bay, Stoney Ridge, Miro, Goldie. Palm Beach has two beaches, a children's playground in the shape of a ship, a dairy for provisions and flat whites, and enjoy yoga classes at the local hall or book Anu Spa for a massage on the apartment's deck. The supermarket, Saturday markets and cafes in Ostend are 2 kms away (approx. 22 minutes walk), while the smaller supermarket, cafes and restaurants in Oneroa is approx. 3.8 kms or a 40 minute walk away.
