Take a stroll along the Maitai River, located almost at your doorstep, or cross the river to climb to the Centre of New Zealand monument. Walk just ten minutes into town to discover local art galleries and craft stores or head over to Tahunanui for a day at the beach with your group, just a 15 minute drive away.
Nelson is the gateway to 3 of New Zealand's iconic National Parks ; Nelson Lakes, Abel Tasman, and Kahurangi.
