Summary: i’d previously stayed here a few months ago and had a great experience, this time round unfortunately wasn’t the case. We had two bookings hotels.com and one through the hotel directly - same room and an email from the hotel to say they had been merged - with a bottle of wine. On arrival this was not the case and apparently this was due to our last 2 nights being upgraded so we were happy with this as that made up for the check in/check inbetween rooms. We got to our room which was right next door to the facilities room with constant noise from staff and guests coming in and out of their rooms we struggled to sleep. We went to reception before checking out to our new room and discovered there was no upgrade, which was really disappointing and poor communication. After going back to reception, a phone call the manager finally upgraded us to a new room which was nice. We got to the room (no bottle of wine) and the washing machine was broken, this involved multiple calls to the reception who told us to use the laundry room at an additional cost to us at 7pm? why would we do that when we were trying to use the laundry in our personal room at night, they told us it had been broken for awhile but didn’t want to inform us prior to being in the room? the room also has mould in the shower and dust on all surfaces. the room faces the road and we didn’t sleep due to cars racing up and down the hill all night - so we were moved to one loud room internally, to the furthest room externally
