Positive: From the moment we drove onto the property we where beyond impressed. The beauty and scenery were out of a fairy tale. We stayed in River Song cabin and immediately felt welcome. The owners, Trudy and Brendan couldn't have been any more kind and helpful. Trudy's talent for design and attention to detail cannot go unnoticed in every corner of the cabin. It is beautifully styled and she has made tremendous effort to make your stay comfortable and unforgettable. We had the pleasure of meeting Brendan while he was driving around on his 4 wheeler working the farm and stopped to chat with us. His wit and charm came shinning out the minute he greeted us. He shared the history and passion of the land that has been in their family for generations. The River Song cabin is luxury, quiet and with breathtaking views, the kitchen is well stocked and the bed so comfortable it was hard to leave each morning of our stay! We continued on our journey around New Zealand and had more adventures, but I often would reflect on our time at Ripples Retreat. I hope to return one day as this was a memorable place indeed.
