The cottage is within the garden close to owners modernise home dating back to 1900. Garden walks though establish native and exotic trees. new planting are being establish along stream and a redevelopment of the Lavender Garden are underway.

Summary: We loved our 4 days in Hurford. The place was small but comfortable and set in the most amazing beautiful garden! It was a good base to explore the area, great hiking in the Kataki range, lovely beach at Oakura. Only 20 mins from the Bowl of Brooklands where went to a concert. Highly recommend
