The property is located a short walk from the lake edge and Two Mile Bay sailing centre - a great spot for live music, paddleboarding, pizzas and drinks. Richmond Heights shopping centre (fish and chips, dairy, liquor outlet and Lucky Lizard bar) is close by. At the bottom of the road the Lions Walk takes you off the main road for an easy stroll into town (30 minutes), with coffee stops, hot pools, Hole in One golf, Jolly Good Fellows and art installations to see along the way.
Taupo is packed with attractions. For the adrenaline junkies there is skydiving, bungy-jumping, jet boating, giant swing and parasailing. A host of water sports, hire boats or charters get you out on the great lake. The mountain biking and trail walking are excellent.
