Te Kereru is a unique and spectacular architecturally designed house, nestled in native forest above magnificent Onetangi Beach on Waiheke Island.

With a light and airy open-plan split level layout and unusual angles, it has a wonderfully, sunny living area, which opens onto a balcony with expansive views across the treetops to the sea. A wood burning stove as well as a heatpump,means this is a warm and comfortable house year round. Up a few stairs is a spacious dining area, and a large well-equipped kitchen, with a magnificent natural wooden-topped workbench/island. This opens onto a further balcony, perched high up in the trees, with amazing views out to sea, with an outside table, chairs, sun umbrella and a gas BBQ. .

Completely surrounded by forest, there are multiple decks on which to sit, relax, watch the sun set, enjoy the privacy and seclusion, and listen to the native birdsong - tui and kereru (NZ native pigeon) are abundant. A few metres away is a track leading into the NZ Forest and Bird Waiheke Forest Reserve. Walk through the Reserve and down to the beach, or take other tracks through the mature forest to yet more spectacular views.

Downstairs there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super-king bed (which can be split into two singles), and a luxurious ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. It opens onto a large, completely private deck above the trees. There are two further bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, and one with a single, which also has a private deck. There is also a spacious family bathroom with a bath and an outdoor shower.

Te Kereru is located above Onetangi bay, a short stroll down to the lovely beach and cafes. Within a few minutes drive are many wineries, a supermarket and a golf course. The 2 ferries are within 15 minutes drive.

Minimum stay 2 nights except:
• 5 nights from mid December to mid January
• 4 nights over Easter
• 4 nights for bookings more than 6 months out
• 3 nights all public holiday weekends
