Whiritoa is a small coastal village with a convenience store when the craving for an ice-cream hits you. At the north end of the 1.5km beach is a small lagoon which is ideal for the little ones to swim and play, past this is a 15-minute walk to Waimana Bay that features white sand, crystal clear waters and a canopy of Pohutakawa trees. At the south end is a short bush walk to a blowhole. Whiritoa is a great place to surf, snorkel and fish, so make sure to pack all the gear!
