Positive: It was a home away from home, but we could pretend we were in Pride and Prejudice. We dined in the dining room with the candles flickering and played cards in the lounge, watching the cherry blossoms. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the kitchen nook; the only thing missing was Mr Darcy, himself. Then off we went to explore the Victorian Precinct, nearby.
Negative: We had to park at the bottom of the drive because they were having repairs done, however that won't be a problem for ongoing guests, it was just our bad timing. The neighbour was most gracious about helping us out, so nice to know they have great neighbours too!
Summary: Meticulous attention to detail makes this historic villa a dream to stay in
