4 Bedroom House in Oneroa, Waiheke Island

The Weka's Nest is the perfect spot for a family holiday on Waiheke. Located in the middle of Oneroa Village, yet a haven of peace - and perfect for the kids!

Entering on the bottom level, you go up the stairs to the landing, then through to the open plan dining, kitchen & living areas. Bi-fold doors open onto the deck, with a nice outdoor eating area, and off this is the flat lawn. There is a playground for kids as well as a trampoline.

The master & 2 other bedrooms are on the top floor. The master bedroom has an ensuite & there is also a family bathroom. The fourth bedroom is part way down the stairs. This bedroom has a double bed as well as a single, but be aware it does have a low ceiling.

With the village around the corner, you don't even need to hire a car! You are a few minutes walk from the beach, and there is a bus stop around the corner if you want to explore further afield.

Freshly laundered bed linen and towels are provided and there is a well equipped laundry available for use.

Note: the property is not to be used for any parties or gatherings. Due to bedding configuration this sleeps a max of 7 adults.

The Weka's Nest is well located in the village, but is next door to the firestation, so please be aware that the alarm may go off at any time.

Each stay incurs a $220 charge for quality linen, towels and exit clean so you have nothing to do but relax, refresh and enjoy.

Summary: Fantastically located property, was perfect for the beach, shops, restaurants, bus stop. Overall plenty of room for our group although listing could probably provide a bit more detail. This house is a lot more "bachy' as opposed to high-end, with the downstairs bedroom being an add-on sleeping room with little/no room for hanging/putting clothes. Upstairs bedrooms generously sized. The place is a little tired, but still very comfortable and the main bathroom could probably do with a bit of an upgrade. Garden was great with the trampoline for the kids and good area for BBQ and outdoor dining. Given we were there for Christmas and were doing lots of cooking we slightly missed the fact there was no microwave (wouldn't be a big investment to put one in). The steamed Christmas pudding had to be done using the gas hob instead which was fine. Overall a great place to spend Christmas week.
