The accommodation is fully furnished with a well equipped kitchenette including fridge, microwave and dishwasher. If cooking outside is more your style, you may prefer to try out the BBQ and dine alfresco on your own full length deck looking out over the bush garden and across to the sailboats anchored in the Waikare Inlet beyond.
Each of the two bedrooms has its own walk in wardrobe and ensuite bathroom. One room has a super-king bed and the other a queen bed. Both rooms have full length windows and ranch sliders so you can admire the view and watch the tuis, fantails and wood pigeons from the comfort of your bed.
(There is also the option to rent as one bedroom accommodation).
The property is only a 2 minute drive, or 10 minute walk, to the Opua Marina and the Russell vehicular ferry. This is also where the must-do Opua-Hokianga Cycleway begins. The first leg to Kawakawa runs along the old rail lines, with the return trip taking around 2-3 hours to complete. Bikes can be hired from several places in the Marina and as this leg is flat most of the way, is a good easy ride.
Paihia, with its myriad of tourist activities, bustling markets and restaurants is only a 5 minute drive away.
Historic Russell is just a quick 10 minute ferry trip across the bay.
The town of Kerikeri is a 25 minute drive away.
