Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: Modest distance from Tauranga and the beach. The location is hidden and offers nice thermal hot pools. Overall it is a beautiful spot where you camp or tent! Lovely staff.
Negative: I have been here three times now and, unfortunately, the experience has gotten worse each time. I’m afraid it is no longer as hidden as it used to be and, likely due to increased demand, the facilities—kitchen, toilets, and cabins—are not offering the same level of service as before. Overall, the place appears to be poorly maintained. Cleanliness does not meet a basic standard and, unfortunately, two out of the three coin boxes for the hot showers were not working. The quality-price ratio is acceptable, as it is the cheapest option in the area. However, I would rather pay a bit more to stay in this spot if the services were improved
