Only 10 minutes drive from town, our house sits high up on a hill over looking Whakaipo Bay, Lake Taupo's western bays and the surrounding farmland.

Feel like you are in the middle of nowhere while only being minutes from the lively town of Taupo.

Our large front porch and yard is the perfect place to enjoy time with your loved ones.

Our 3 bedroom house features a large open plan living, dining area with a well stocked kitchen. With large sliding doors that can open up allowing great indoor, outdoor entertaining- you can enjoy the view even while cooking dinner. Double-glazed windows, thick curtains and a fabulous log fire plus large heat pump ensure that the house is cosy in winter. Please note that firewood is not provided so you will need to either bring some along, or pick some up from Bunnings in town.

Please note, the TV is Chromecast, therefore you will need to login into your own Netflix/Neon etc or any other accounts, thanks.

The master bedroom features a SuperKing bed and soaking tub in the ensuite with the most amazing views of the lake.

Both bathrooms feature large walk in showers.

The 2nd bedroom has a brand new queen bed and large closet. The lake and countryside views are also shared from this bedroom.

The 3rd bedroom is perfect for kids featuring a King single and single trundle. We also keep this room stocked full of toys and books- just in case the weather keeps your little ones indoors.

A long-term stay with a discounted rate may be available on request.

The entire property is available for guests.

Our place is fully managed by a great team located in Taupo so can help you with anything you need. I am available through the app for any recommendations.

We are just 10 minutes from town, but you feel miles away as you look out across the countryside and down to the lake.
Just 3 minutes drive is Whakaipo Bay- a DOC recreational reserve with calm waters- perfect for the whole family to enjoy. It also is the starting point of the W2K mountain bike track that leads to Kinloch and beyond.

As we are a bit out of town, you will want your own car while visiting. Taxis are available and I am happy to help book any tours or transfers if you need.

While your 4 legged friends are allowed at Whakaipo Sunsets, we do ask that your dogs not be left at the property when you are not there and they stay off the furniture. pur property is not fully fenced. Please pick up any dog droppings outside. There will be a $20 fee for your dogs stay. If we have to clean up any dog poo, there will be an extra $50 charge.

Pets - There will be an additional $50 fee for pets. If you plan to bring a pet, we politely ask you to maintain the property with regard to any pet poop, thanks. We will charge a fee for clearance of any poop by our cleaning or inspection team. Please also note that you will be liable for ANY damages incurred to the property by your pet (or appearing to be as a result from your pet). Please exercise care, and supervise your pet at all times, thank you.
