Positive: Beautiful, Peaceful Location but Cleanliness Needs Attention My wife and I spent three nights here for my birthday and really enjoyed the peaceful, natural surroundings. The cottage is in a beautiful secluded location with amazing birdlife, and waking up to the dawn chorus each morning was a real highlight. The view from the deck was also fantastic, making it a lovely place to relax and unwind. Overall, it’s a wonderful location and a cosy place to get away. With better attention to cleaning and maintenance, it could be a fantastic stay.
Negative: Unfortunately, there were some cleanliness and hygiene issues. We found cobwebs around the kitchen and light fixtures above the bed, mouldy curtains, and dirty bathroom taps and shower head. The biggest concern was the kettle, which had pieces of plastic coming off when boiled. I raised this with the host on the day we checked in, but unfortunately the issue remained unresolved throughout our stay. This was disappointing, particularly given the safety concern.
