Welcome to our spacious holiday home, designed to capture the sun all day long. Laid-back and unpretentious, our holiday home is built for carefree, low maintenance holidays. The big bedrooms let everyone have quiet time, while the living room is really big - plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The whole front of the bach opens onto large decks while the lounge opens to a huge internal deck, with outdoor fireplace - perfect for chilling out, playing cards by the fire and BBQ'ing your catch of the day. At day's end, throw open the bi-folds, pull out a chair, listen to the surf rolling in, the Tui singing, the magic smell of the forests and ocean and enjoy the last of the evening sun as it streams into the living room and covered deck. We have loads of great books, DVDs, a Fooseball table for the kids (and the big kids!).

A 3-4 minute flat stroll to the beach and a short walk to Opera Reserve and the lovely bush walk to the estuary (10 minutes), where the kids can play safely in the water's edge, find starfish, collect cockles, blackberries and walnuts in season. The rope swing over the water is hugely popular with kids and adults alike! There is room for boats. And for the kids - cricket on the lawn or a game of rubgy or tag. Children make loads of friends during the holidays, often leading to cul-de-sac cricket games on the road or swarms of kids playing spot-light and having fun as kids should have - just like when we grew up! Fish, dive, swim, collect shellfish, play tennis, golf, canoe, take the kids to the stream that gently rolls into the ocean at the end of Whangapoua beach, the choices are all here. Walk to magical New Chums Beach for the day, take the picnic set and wander home as the sun is setting.
We are a small community without the hustle and pretence of bigger destinations, this place is truly paradise in a good old fashioned sea side village - just how it used to be.

No smoking Inside property, pets are allowed ONLY with prior approval; no parties or loud music after 10pm. Min 2 night’s stay, 7 nights over Xmas new year. Peak prices apply during public holidays. $300 refundable deposit required to confirm bookings.
