Positive: Marsden By the Cove was a lovely home in a beautiful area. The house itself was great, but there were a few issues that impacted our stay. First, I didn’t map out the location properly, so it ended up being much further from where I needed to be than I expected. That was my oversight, but worth noting for future guests. The amenities were mostly good, but the Nespresso machine did not have the correct pods, which was disappointing. Additionally, there were no dish cloths provided—only two tea towels, which made cleaning up a bit inconvenient. One major issue was the cleaner turning up on the first day to drop off supplies for the next tenants. That should not have happened and felt intrusive. Then, on the morning of checkout, they arrived 10 minutes before the official checkout time. While I understand time constraints, it felt rushed and uncomfortable—especially considering we paid over $700 for a two-night stay. Lastly, having to strip the bedding before leaving was an inconvenience and something I’ve never had to do at any other accommodation. For the price, I would have expected a more seamless experience. Overall, it’s a lovely place, but these issues affected the overall experience.
