One minute drive or five minute walk to Baylys Beach. Baylys is 10 minutes from Dargaville, 1 hour from Whangarei and 2 1/2 hours from Auckland. Within walking distance is the beach, Sharky’s licensed dairy & takeaway and close by is the golf course. Summary: We had a wonderful time at Matt's place in Baylys Beach. The house was really lovely, clean and new, and had all the basics you need (except for wine glasses and ice trays, but they might not be staples for everyone!). :-) The beach is nice and close but be prepared for an uphill hike back to the house. There was a great information sheet to give us ideas of what to do and see around the area, and Matt was really easy to deal with. Thanks again Matt!
