Positive: Orchards Retreat is a place you want to stay. The pictures don't capture how lovely and peaceful it is. When you enter it's obvious how much thought and care the hosts took to ensure you have a lovely stay. From the smaller details like a great selection of DVD's, to remote controlled curtains, fancy remote controlled toilet (the heated seat was lovely 😜), large shower, easy to connect to wi-fi, Netflix etc a soundbar, books... lots of smaller details that are often missed. The bed was comfortable, the whole place was immaculately clean. Everything my daughter and I needed was there and more. I've spent many years staying at motels and this far exceeds the majority of them. There is an off street carpark, everything is a short distance away. If I ever need to stay in Paraparaumu again, this will be 1st on my list to check for availability.
