3 Bedroom House in Pukawa, Pukawa Bay

Relax in quiet serene native bush surroundings overlooking a gorgeous view of Lake Taupo and surrounded by wood pigeons and tui's.
Sit on the large deck sipping a wine, or watch a DVD.
The beach is great for swimming from, or taking out your boat, or kayak.

There's a small bar/restaurant at Oreti Village resort just 10-15 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive outside of the village. If you want to dine on the shores of the lake - the only place you can do that is at Lakeland house in Waihi village which is 10 minutes drive away.

We are approximately:
55 minutes to Whakapa ski field
90 minutes to Turoa ski field
70 minutes to Ohakune
10 minutes to Tokaanu hot pools
10 minutes walk to the lake edge.
10 minutes to the best trout fishing in the area
50 minutes to Taupo

We have reliable broadband WIFI available and will soon have Fibre. Mobile reception is good (particularly if you are a Spark user) so you can spend a bit longer if you need to work remotely!

The section isn't suitable for parking boats because of the accessibility. However it is possible to park a boat on the lane in front of the bach if secured to your vehicle. We recommend turning your wheels into the kerbside and placing a block behind the rear wheels.

Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$55.00 per stay); Linen is included at the cost of $50 per stay. All bedding is included.
2 portacots and linen are also included for your use. Please bring your own cot blankets.
* Please note the section is not fully fenced, however the deck area is contained for pets and children. There is regular bait drops and trapping for pest control in the area, so we recommend you keep your dog on a lead on bush walks. Cats are not suitable because of the regenerating native birdlife in the area.

Note to guests: We are planning an extensive renovation on the bach which has taken quite a lot longer than expected. We are still planning, without a date in mind for the actual renovation. The bach is well overdue for a makeover and very tired looking so please bear this in mind when booking. We've kept the pricing low to reflect this.

Summary: At the time of our stay the place was a little worn, I believe the owner mentioned renovations are going to happen so that statement might be out of date when you read this. However the place was clean and tidy, problem free check in and a great spot with a great view. Would be happy to go back when we can as we found it very convenient. There was heaps to do in a short drive, and we found the trip in to Taupo from here not an issue.
