The inside is spacious with an open plan living arrangement, ideal for spending quality time with everyone. Start your days off right with a freshly brewed coffee from the machine and a big brunch around the breakfast bar to fuel up the family. You can come back from a day at the beach, out on the sea, hiking or mountain biking and take a break from the sun in the living and dining areas.
The BBQ will help you feed everyone staying at the bach for the true Kiwiana holiday. Plenty of sheltered outdoor living so you can enjoy some alfresco dining out of the warm summer sun. There is plenty of parking space for you to bring the boat and the local boat ramp just a 3-minute drive away to check out the awesome local fishing.
The scenery and beauty at Shakespeare Cliff Historic Reserve, make for a great vantage point for stunning views of Mercury Bay. Go on a guided paddle-boarding experience that is one to remember. Cooks Beach has a local shop for all your immediate needs and you can catch the ferry from Ferry Landing to enjoy all that Whitianga has to offer.

Summary: We stayed for 5 days with family while they were over from the UK. It’s in a nice area, nice and new place. We loved using the kayaks and appreciated that they had a bbq there so we didn’t have to bring ours. They have an huge fridge which is so handy with 6 adults staying and a spare mini fridge in the garage. Also lots of space to park the boat which was a bonus. Communication with the property manager was clear and easy to follow which meant we had efficient check in and check out. Although they could make the bin collection process a bit easier to understand! We weren’t sure if we were doing it right. The price for this place was extremely high and there were a couple of points which made it not feel worth what we paid.. firstly that we didn’t find the property to be very clean. We kept finding big wads of hair floating around that definitely wasn’t ours and also milk had been left in the milk frother and gone off so it smelt terrible in the kitchen when we arrived. Also the quality of the bedding is absolutely horrendous (50% polyester!!!) so would highly recommend bringing your own bedding to ensure you have a better sleep than we did. These two points mean we probably wouldn’t stay again as it was extremely expensive and these two points were disappointing for us. With higher cost comes higher expectations!
