The kitchen is open plan to the lounge in the main living area – vaulted ceiling adding to the feeling of space. All you can see from this room is treetops and sea…. a true relaxation. With a heat pump to keep you cool in the summer months and warm in the winter. The modern light fixtures cast a warm glow at night, and the large sliding glass doors allow you to savour the view from bed and soak in the sun while you plan your day. At night the necklace of “fairy lights” on the Maraetai / Beachlands coastline across the sea is magical.
This is the perfect base for a family or group of friends. Two king single beds are available in the back bedroom that still boasts a peak of your stunning sea views. A large closet in both bedrooms means you can unpack, and enjoy an extended stay. There is an extra “all purpose” room which includes a washer and dryer with additional granite work surface, a reading corner and an office space for your laptop. With so much on offer, you may want to stay a while. With so much to do on Waiheke, it’s hard to tackle it all in one weekend.
While you’re here, why not plan a day of exploring? This location is ideal for those wanting to see a special side of our island paradise. Just minutes over the hill is the bustling Onetangi Road, a vineyard epicentre with a number of wineries, breweries and distilleries all with in walking distance from each other. Enjoy a cold beer or glass of rosé after a day at the beach.

There are numerous walking tracks at your door step. Head inland to find Waiheke’s waterfall and immerse yourself in New Zealand’s native bush in Whakanewha Regional Park. Enjoy watching the many shore birds at the tidal beach which is perfect for swimming at full tide. Bring a picnic and make use of the communal BBQs. There is also a short-cut track up to Batch Winery which has spectacular sunsets.

On most Saturday and Sunday mornings, you can take a short stroll down the road and savour the famed local café at the Rocky Bay Hall. Sip your morning coffee and snack on a fresh homemade pastry to get you started for the day. No pavements here so the locals will wave or even offer you a lift as they pass.
For dining, head down to Onetangi beach front where you have a selection of three popular restaurants; 372 is the local’s favourite and is the prefect spot for a long lunch, Charley Farley’s for your pub type food and Ki Māha for your seafood. All three boast spectacular views.

Tree Tops has two bedrooms and one bathroom with one queen bed and two single beds and there is parking for two cars.

PLEASE NOTE: An exit cleaning fee applies to each stay. All linen and towels are supplied but please bring your own beach towels. Minimum stays: Seven nights between mid-December and mid-January, two nights all other times and three nights for public holiday weekends. A security deposit of $500 will be preauthorized to your credit card 2 days before departure. This will be released 5 days after departure. A 3.5% credit card surcharge applies to card payments.
