Nestled in a prime location and adorned with high end finishes, The Ridge Retreat is for those who prefer sophisticated, yet relaxed. Situated less than 5 minute drive to Queenstown CBD. The 180 degree views over Lake Wakatipu will leave you simply in awe.
The space

Comfortably sleeping up to eight guests and located just five minutes’ drive from downtown Queenstown, you can escape the everyday hustle and bustle in the epitome of comfort, luxury, and relaxation. Step inside and enjoy spacious open plan living with a relaxing lounge area, a mezzanine room with pool table, a roaring wood fire, heat pumps and magnificent views from every room.
The convenience of an indoor lift makes it easy for the less mobile family members.
Kitchen and living area:
Prepare your meals in our fully equipped state of the art kitchen. Finished with a Nespresso coffee machine. Supplied with basic provisions - oil, salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee and kitchen towels to get your holiday started.
Lounge around on our comfy sofas while connecting to free high-speed fibre internet. The lounge leads onto a private deck to enjoy lunch or a BBQ in the late summer evenings.
Bedrooms:
There are four spacious bedrooms, all located on the ground floor.
The master bedroom features a Luxury Imperial King bed. Coupled with a beautifully tiled ensuite. The king-sized bed has the option to be split into two singles.
Bedroom 2 also features a welcoming Luxury Imperial King bed which can be split into two singles. It shares a generous bathroom with bedroom 3.
Bedroom 3, features a cosy Luxury Imperial Queen bed with views to The Remarkables.
Bedroom 4 features a cosy Luxury Imperial Queen bed and ensuite with chic tiles, underfloor heating and spectacular views. It has the bonus of being the bedroom with a TV.
We can supply a cot/highchair for infants on request.
Bathrooms:
Three beautifully tiled bathrooms with underfloor heating and brand new high spec fittings including heated towel rails. Towels, toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/body wash) and toilet paper are supplied.
Mezzanine Lounge:
Beautifully furnished, it is a great space to break away from the crowd, while still remaining connected. With stunning views to Walter’s Peak and also looking out to the hot tub/spa deck area so you can watch the kids while lounging.
Office:
Tucked away and private, so that you can attend to those urgent tasks without impacting on the family, yet still feel connected.
Lift:
Making it easier for the elderly or less mobile family members.
Spa:
Tucked into a secluded courtyard, the brand new 5-seater spa is the perfect way to start or end your day. There is plenty of room for the whole family and 2 lounger seats. Let the 28 massage jets work wonders for mind and body.
Garage:
The garage can be used to store ski gear & laundry. Our cleaners may need access to the garage from time to time to grab stock for the lower flat. The door can be locked internally for security.
Parking:
Off street parking is available for two vehicles, parked behind each other. On street parking is available too.
Laundry:
Two combined washing machine/dryers are available and located in the garage.
CCTV:
We have 24/7 CCTV operating on the exterior of the property. The spa pool is not in the CCTV view.
Surroundings:
Sunshine Bay beach is a popular destination for a dip on a hot summer afternoon.
Less than a 5 minute drive to downtown Queenstown.
There is a local dairy, pub and fish and chips shop located just two minutes’ drive away in Fernhill(10 minutes walk up a steep hill).
45 minute scenic walking trail along the lake to town.
20 minute drive to the airport.
25 minutes to both Remarkables and Coronet ski field access roads.
Guests will be able to access the whole property. Parking is right out the front of the door with lift access to the lower area. Great for elderly or mobility impaired. Unfortunately the door frames are not suitable for wheelchair access.

There is a separate fully private studio below. The guests cannot access the main house. They have a designated spot for parking on the left hand side of the driveway. You may see them walking down the steps on the side of the house. Please get in touch if your party would like to book this too.
We recommend all guests to have travel insurance. We will not be held liable for any issues outside of our control. Please ensure you understand our cancellation policy before booking.

⏰ Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in is from 3:00pm onwards unless pre-arranged otherwise.
Check-out is by 10:00am.
We ask that the property is left in a tidy state. Unscheduled late check-outs or excessive mess may result in additional cleaning fees.
🚭 Smoking
All our properties are strictly non-smoking. If evidence of indoor smoking is found, a minimum $200 NZD fee will apply for deep cleaning.
🛠️ Damage, Keys & Callouts
We ask that you treat the home with care.
If any damage occurs, keys are lost, noise complaints arise, or an unnecessary callout is required due to guest actions, we reserve the right to charge $60/hr + GST for management time.
👉 Please note: Callouts required after 5:00pm or on weekends/public holidays may incur a higher fee to reflect after-hours service costs.
👥 Guest Numbers & Age Requirement
The lead guest must be 25 years or older and present during the stay.
We may request ID verification for all guests.
The total number of guests must not exceed the number confirmed in the reservation.
🐾 Pets
Pets are not permitted unless specifically stated in the listing.
🔇 Noise
To respect our neighbours, we ask for quiet time between 10:00pm and 7:00am.
Noise complaints may incur a minimum $100 NZD fee.
🎉 Parties & Gatherings
Parties, events, or large gatherings are not permitted. We appreciate your understanding in helping us maintain a peaceful environment for everyone.
🧹 During Your Stay
We appreciate guests leaving the property as they found it:
- Please don’t rearrange furniture or remove items.
- Place rubbish in the appropriate bins.
- Leave keys in the lockbox upon departure.
- All linen is professionally hired — any missing or damaged items may incur a replacement fee.
🚨 Serious Breaches
We reserve the right to cancel your stay without refund if house rules are not followed. Any illegal activity will be reported to authorities and additional management fees may apply.

Please ensure all children are supervised down the garden bank.

Please ensure all doors and windows are locked when leaving the property.

We’re unable to accept responsibility for cancellations due to unforeseen events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, travel disruptions, pandemics). Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
💵 Rates & Fees
All rates are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are subject to 15% GST unless otherwise stated. Additional fees may apply if house rules are not respected.
